Product Description: This item for sale is a new-old-stock 3T Chromix Corsa Plus stem. It's an Italian made tig welded quill stem (from the 90's) that measures 115 mm in length. This is actually a better quality stem relative to our other Chromix stem offerings, as 3T made these stems with better quality (Columbus branded) steel tubing. To further distinguish these stems from their (3T's) sport/fitness models, the company created an amateur category for bar/stem offerings falling somewhere in between sport/fitness models and their pro series offerings (and these stems were included in this "in-between" category). Additionally, this stem still retains the Chromix Corsa's simple, but durable, design and reliable production process (i.e., tig welded tubular chromoly steel construction usually results in a fairly stiff and durable stem). Some of it's more prominent design features and specs include the following... Body length: 115 mm (measured from a profile view of the stem body as a straight line that extends from the center of the quill to the center of the bar clamp) Body angle: 72 degrees (or said another way...a negative 18 degree rise) Quill length: 70 mm (the distance between the limit line and the top of the quill...inclusive of the dust cover, if applicable) Clamp: 25.8 to 26.0 mm (fairly common sizing for many vintage drop handlebars) Quill diameter: 22.2 mm (common size compatible with most 1" threaded forks) Weight: 258 grams (per our digital postal scale and inclusive of all mounting hardware) As for condition, we are near the end of our stocks in these stems (in this model/size/finish), so we have begun updating the pictures to reflect the next stem that will sell/ship. These stems were bulk packed in molded plastic trays stacked on top of each other (while in crated storage). As a result, these stems have some shopwear (scuffs and scratches). Additionally (and just as it relates to these Corsa Plus stems), the chrome finish is not as nice as some of our other Chromix offerings. This is clearly visible in the images above where you can see numerous imperfections in the finish from the many years of storage time. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case. Note to international customers regarding customs... We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value).
